Stuttgart, Düsseldorf (Germany) - Gleichmann Electronics has extended the countries covered for the NEC Electronics Europe franchise into Switzerland, Poland, Czechia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Rumania. The extended distribution contract was signed by Rainer Bechem, Director of IDBU (Industrial and Distribution Business Unit) of NEC Electronics Europe and Thomas Klein, Managing Director of Gleichmann Electronics on the 5th of April.

Gleichmann Electronics, one of the oldest and most successful franchised NEC Electronics distributors in Europe has extended its leading market position across Europe over the last 5 years every year. The extension of the distribution area into 6 further countries has proven again the impact of the Gleichmann philosophy of a long and close partnership with its suppliers.
“Our target is to be number 1 in each country for all of our suppliers Ö not only related to turnover but as well to the necessary service functions. More than 25 application engineers guarantee technical support for MCU, ASIC, PowerMOSFET, opto coupler and TFT display products on a pan-European level, and we are increasing this group steadily”, says Thomas Klein,” and to optimize our cooperation we have mirrored NEC Electronics’ marketing groups in the relevant areas at Gleichmann.”

In addition to NEC Electronics’ standard products, new customers in Switzerland, Poland, Czechia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Rumania will profit from Gleichmann’s additional products and services from two ASIC Design Centers, a Programming Centre using the latest technology and our know-how and experience in innovative display system solutions for TFTs and LCDs. “Such a wide range of products and services from one point-of-sale is unique compared to any of the other NEC Electronics distributors”, mentions Gleichmann’s Managing Director.
