The TX09D70VM1Cxx is fully compatible with its predecessor module D50, regarding electrical features and outline dimensions.

The increased brightness from 120cd/m2 to 400cd/m2 has been realised by utilisation of a new improved light guide technology developed by HITACHI and an additional TMR layer which is placed behind the TFT glass.

This layer makes the display sunlight readable as it reflects part of the incoming ambient light back through the glass to the viewer.

An optional timing controller board can be attached. It converts the complex interface to a standard one (3x6bit+sync). This board also contains an electronic circuit for optimum LED- backlight driving. Display dimming is possible by either analogue or PWM.

For HMI applications, the TX09D70VM1Cxx can also be provided with a 4-wire resistive touchscreen attached.
Like all other HITACHi display parts, this TFT can be operated at extended temperatures.
The product features make it ideally suited for use in fixed or portable applications in the industrial or medical markets.
