Specifically designed for industrial applications and long-term availability: 7.0-inches TFT display with 16:9 format and long-life LED backlight Stutensee, Germany, March 19, 2008 - Gleichmann Electronics presents part number NL8048BC19-02, as supplement to the many conventional 7.0 inches (18 cm diagonal) TFT displays, which are designed mainly for automotive applications. The NL8048BC19-02, an industrial version, features an above average long lifetime backlight and long-term availability. The 7.0 inches TFT display, designed by NEC LCD Technologies and built using twisted nematic (TN) technology, has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and is controlled via a selectable 6-bit or 8-bit low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) interface. Luminance is 400 cd/m² and contrast ratio 500:1. |

A sophisticated foil technology allows both horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 160° typical. An additional guarantee for optimal viewing conditions is the integrated reverse scan function. This allows the user, if required, to rotate the image 180 degrees so that it can be mounted, depending on the application, to give the optimal viewing angle. The low power consumption of approximately 3.0 W is thanks to the panel’s simple replaceable LED backlight with a lifetime/mean time to failure (MTTF) of 50.000 hours typical. The compact size of 170.0 (W) x 111.0 (H) x 8.5 (D) mm and an operating temperature of -20°C to +70°C make the panel an ideal choice for the requirements of many industrial applications.
