The SAM8 is a series of mid-range 8-bit microcontrollers which offer a wide range of peripherals on-chip. The following interfaces are available: LED-driver, LCD-driver, UART- and USB interface. There are derivatives with RC oscillators on-chip available for low cost applications. Of course there are derivatives with flash memories or OTP memories which are in system programmable, so that a high level of flexibility can be offered for development, pre-series and customer-specific solutions.
