MSC Vertriebs GmbH is a distributor for e2v semiconductor products

e2v is a leading designer, developer and manufacturer of specialised components and subsystems, falling within two product groups:

• Electronic tubes
• Sensors and Semiconductors

In August 2006 e2v acquired the Grenoble semiconductor manufacturing facility from the Atmel Corporation. All former Atmel,Grenoble products, including image sensors and aerospace qualified microprocessors, are now produced by e2v (except finger print scanning products).
e2v has approximately 1,800 employees worldwide with three UK based manufacturing sites in Chelmsford, Lincoln and High Wycombe, one in Grenoble, France and one in Courcelles, Switzerland.  

e2v‘s products are supplied into three core market areas:

Medical & Science:

Sensor technology includes imaging sensors for intra-oral and panoramic dental X-ray, mammography, life science applications and X-ray microscopy. Electronic tubes are the enabling technology behind radiotherapy cancer treatments, microwave medical therapy and high-energy physics. 

Aerospace & Defence:

Sensor technology includes military surveillance, targeting and guidance, space-based imaging and astronomy and radar & electronic warfare and broadband data converters and microprocessors for aerospace applications. 

Electronic tubes provide the enabling technology behind radars, electronic countermeasures (ECM), electronic warfare and satellite communications.  

Commercial & Industrial:

Sensor technology includes marine radars, industrial safety sensors, automotive radars and alarms, thermal imaging cameras used by fire fighters, CCD and CMOS high resolution area scan cameras for industrial inspection.

Electronic tubes provide enabling technology behind TV broadcast, satellite communications, marine radar and food & industrial processing.  

Semiconductors Products

e2v semiconductor products could be positioned into two groups:

Boardband Data Converters

e2v's family of 8, 10 and 12-bit A/D converters has grown to include sampling rates from 500 Msps to 5Gsps; all without the need for added off-chip external interleaving techniques. e2v ADC's provide reveiver designers with market leading high linearity, ENOB and dynamic range coupled with analog bandwidths from 1GHz to over 3GHz for true high IF sampling.  

The 12-500 Msps ADC is the latest in e2v's quest for both high linearity & high dynamic range. Featuring 72 dB SFDR in 2nd Nyquist, digital control and low 2.3W power consumption, the AT84AS001TP offers designers peace of mind when confronted with receiver system speed limits.

High Reliability Microprocessors

With over 25 years of experience in the microprocessor market  and in close partnership with Freescale Semiconductor, e2v offers a wide range of high reliability microprocessor products dedicated to serve Hi Rel applications such as avionics, defence, space, industrial and field telecommunications.

The Hi Rel microprocessors are based on PowerPC and 68k architecture and are supported by a range of key peripherals in partnership with Tundra Semiconductor.

e2v is committed to guaranteeing long-term availability of these products: Wafer storage and foundry transfer.
