The MSC ETE-MB-PISA motherboard is a highly integrated baseboard for ET(e) modules and provides the necessary infrastructure to operate an ETX compatible Embedded PC module. The ETE-MB-PISA motherboard adapts all of the ET(e) module’s signals to the PC-typical interfaces.
Using a PISA-format carrier board and ET(e) modules with the complete functionality of an embedded PC offers the user unprecedented flexibility for the application: the CPU can be easily swapped for any other type of ETX-compatible module thus giving the same PISA application hardware access to a variety of CPUs with many different performance levels, feature sets andprice points.
Furthermore, I/O Cards on the ISA bus or PCI bus can be added through the passive backplane system.
