Just as you can mix a cocktail to your individual taste, it is also possible to put together your own Open Frame or Smart Panel. Various TFTs, drive cards, touch screens, etc. can be combined with one another according to your wishes and requirements until the right solution has been found. Our challenge is to find the ideal solution for every application. In this respect, individual requirements such as privacy filters, legibility in sunshine, touch screens and much more can be realised.

Open Frame
is the name for a mechanical mounting into which a TFT display is integrated.
The installation dimensions therefore no longer correspond to the TFT display
dimensions but the outer dimensions of the mechanical mounting. The mounting
device (front or side mount) is used to fix the TFT to the frame. An Open Frame
monitor consists of a TFT display, an AD card, an inverter and the associated
cables.
The term
Smart Panel was defined by Samsung. The aim was to offer the customer a display
which can be operated with simple means. The fpds group picked up precisely this
intention and realised it consistently in the current Smart Panel product range.
The products feature outstanding optical properties and an extremely low
installation depth.
Just a few years ago, the
conventional tube (CRT) monitor was still the classic display but it has since
been totally ousted by TFT LCD screens. LCD stands for the use of liquid
crystals in the individual pixels of the screen and TFT for tiny transistor
components which control the alignment of the liquid crystals and thus their
light-transmitting qualities.
We offer our customers the option of
using an fdps KIT and integrating it into existing mechanics or an already
constructed existing design.
We also make stringent demands of our
housings and mechanics as regards design and function.
In order to really provide everything
from one source we also offer accessory parts such as power adaptors and cables.
The power adaptors are available in 12 VDC and 24 VDC versions.
We offer
integrated support with the choice of product, the production of prototypes and
also serial production and are therefore ideally placed to react to customer
wishes and specifications appropriately and in a solution-oriented manner.
