The new ATJTAGICE3 is an updated version of popular and successful debugger ATJTAGICE-MK2.

The new debugger is faster,  smaller and less expensive than the ATJTAGICE-MK2.

It is only supported by the new AVR Studio® 5 (not by the AVR Studio® 4)

The ATJTAGICE3 is a mid-range development tool for Atmel 8-bit and 32-bit AVR microcontrollers with on-chip debugging for source level symbolic debugging, NanoTrace (if supported by the device) and device programming.

Features:

  • Supports JTAG, debugWIRE, SPI and PDI interfaces
  • 3 hardware program breakpoints and 1 maskable data breakpoint (depending on the OCD module on the AVR device)
  • Up to 126 software breakpoints
  • USB powered
  • Uploads 256 KB code in ~ 14 seconds (XMEGA using JTAG interface)
  • Supported by AVR Studio 5
