Development Boards

In combination with the available software tools, the Hyperstone development boards provide the ideal hardware for developing Hyperstone applications. With these boards you can evaluate Hyperstone microprocessors and start developing an own application on a real Hyperstone system.

This is the board for E1 processors. The executable code of a program can either be downloaded to the boards or directly programmed into the on-board Flash EPROM. The application program is then executed on the development board under control of a debug monitor, following the commands of the hyDEBUG sourcelevel debugger. Your own prototype hardware can easily be adapted using the I/O expansion connectors on the board. The development board can either be operated via the AT-bus for rapid data transfer, or outside the PC, linked to the serial interface using the hyICE. The development board is equipped with up to 8 MB DRAM or EDO RAM, up to 512 KB fast SRAM and up to 512 KB Flash-EPROM containing the debug monitor firmware. In many cases, you can design your special application just as a subsystem of this development board. USB and Ethernet ports are available for the application.

These are the boards for the hyNET series of Hyperstone processors. There are various interface configurations possible. Some interfaces are always present others depending on configuration.

  • hyNet-XS: stand alone system for hyNet XS processor
  • hyNet-S PCI: PCI card for hyNet S processor
  • Memory up to: 2 * 128MB SDRAM, 32 KByte nvSRAM, 32MB Flash
  • Power monitoring and reset control
  • Integrated smartcard reader for standard SIM-cards (hyNet-XS)
  • ISDN Interface (NT or TE mode possible).
  • USB 1.1 Interface.
  • CAN-Bus Interface. (hyNet XS)
  • LAN 10BaseT/100BaseT Interface (2x electrical or 2x optical mode).
  • Up to 2 serial interface RS232/RS485 fully engaged
